We currently offer clients services in the following broad areas:
Guidance for future applicants to graduate or professional school: This service is aimed at students in their 1st or 2nd year of undergraduate studies. MD Consultants can work with you to choose an ideal combination of courses that will allow you to maximize your GPA, and at the same time complete your program/degree requirements and meet any prerequisite demands for professional schools. We can also mentor students who are unclear where their long-term interests lie, but who are forced by the constraints of university study to pick a major.

MD Consultants can also assist students seeking to “build their extracurricular profile,” and recommend research, volunteer, internship, extracurricular, and international travel/summer abroad opportunities that may generate interesting experiences which could be used to texture your personal essay and autobiographical sketch. We are also able to offer concrete advice on mastering time-management, communication and leadership skills.
Resume critique and mock research/volunteer/summer job interviews: Learn how to distinguish yourself from the crowd, and secure that first research or volunteer position. From NSERC in the summer to volunteering at your local ER, MD Consultants will show you the ropes as you seek to create foundational experiences that will be vital to any future endeavour in the healthcare field.
Scholarship and Financial Award applications (including OSAP and bursary applications): With many universities in Canada offering assurances of financial support and providing students with guaranteed access to financial counselling, there is no reason why full-time students should compromise their academic success with cumbersome work demands. Given your background, MD Consultants can direct you towards merit-based scholarships and need-based financial awards that you have a reasonable chance obtaining. To this end, we also provide detailed feedback on personal statements and annual budgets that must be submitted with your scholarship/ financial aid application.
