Anthony Di Fonzo

Anthony majored in Physiology and Toxicology and graduated with high distinction from St. Michael’s College (HBSc, 2009), before completing his Master in Management of Innovation (MMI, 2010) and medical school at the University of Toronto (MD, 2013). He completed his residency training in Family Medicine at the same institution (CCFP, 2015), obtained his GP-Focused Practice in chronic pain management through the CPSO (2017), and achieved Diplomate Credentialing in chronic pain through the Canadian Academy of Pain Management (Diplomat CAPM, 2018). As a Chronic Pain Physician, Anthony is the Medical Director and Co-Founder of Releva Chronic Pain Centre, where his practice comprises of a large and diverse chronic pain population. He is also extensively involved in medical education as a Lecturer and Clinician Teacher at the University of Toronto. In addition to his clinical, academic, and managerial duties, Anthony also works closely with lawyers and insurance companies to provide formal medico-legal and insurance assessments and reports.

Furthermore, Anthony is also a part-time rural Staff Emergency Physician at Headwaters Health Centre in Orangeville, Ontario. He has been extensively involved in leadership positions over the years and was selected as UofT Valedictorian of his graduating class and awarded the title of Future Health Innovator by the same institution for helping to build the international reputation of the university. On his free time, Anthony enjoys traveling, reading, playing soccer, and spending quality time with his friends and family.
