Jody Young, MD, CCFP

Dr. Young is currently a third year PMR resident at the University of Ottawa. Previously Dr. Young was a primary care physician with the Canadian Armed Forces. She values patient centered care and strives to support each patient’s physical, mental, and emotional health to achieve optimal function and performance. In addition to family medicine, Dr. Young has an interest in sports medicine, dive and aerospace medicine, and innovative healthcare delivery. 

After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Doctor of Medicine from McMaster University, Dr. Young went on to complete her Family Medicine residency training from the University of British Columbia, Victoria and Rural Program. She enjoys medical education and has taught medical students and resident physicians as an associate clinical professor with the UBC. 

Outside of work, Jody enjoys running and spending time with her young family.
