Dr. Majeed is a family physician, medical advisor, and healthcare entrepreneur with over a decade of clinical experience. She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto in 2010 and completed her Family Medicine residency training at the University of Toronto, earning her CCFP designation. She also holds a Bachelor of Health Sciences degree from McMaster University, providing a strong academic foundation in both clinical medicine and population health.
Raised in Whitby, Ontario, Dr. Majeed has always preferred small-town living and is currently based in the lakeside community of Lakefield, Ontario. She manages a large, high-volume family medicine practice, delivering comprehensive primary care across a wide range of patient needs. While she enjoys all aspects of family medicine, she has developed a particular interest and expertise in cosmetic dermatology, which has become a significant focus of her professional work.
Dr. Majeed is the founder and operator of Lakefield Cosmetics, a rapidly expanding cosmetic medical aesthetics practice. She is deeply passionate about this work and is recognized as an expert in the use of Botox injections for the treatment of migraines and axillary hyperhidrosis. In this capacity, she regularly accepts referrals from surrounding area physicians and is frequently consulted by primary care nurse practitioners for assistance with complex or challenging cases.
Beyond clinical care, Dr. Majeed has played a key role in advancing primary care delivery and innovation. She initiated the implementation of Nurse Practitioner–led primary care within the Chemong Family Health Organization, expanding access to care for local residents. She also led the integration of new technologies into the clinic’s electronic medical record system, enabling secure provider–patient email communication, electronic questionnaires, and digital distribution of patient resources. In addition, she serves as a volunteer member of the Quality Committee within the Peterborough Family Health Team, contributing to program evaluation, patient retention strategies, and cost-effectiveness reviews.
Dr. Majeed is actively involved in medical education and mentorship. She is an Associate Professor in the Queen’s University Department of Family Medicine, where she regularly teaches and mentors family medicine residents. She is also closely involved in the ongoing education of nursing staff and interdisciplinary colleagues.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Majeed values her family life and enjoys spending time with her husband, two young daughters, and her energetic Bengal cat, Alfie. As her career evolves, she is seeking opportunities to transition away from full-time family practice toward roles that offer greater flexibility, including remote work, allowing her to better balance professional fulfillment with family life.
