Dr. Rebecca Lord, MD completed medical school at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 2007, and completed Emergency Medicine Residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in 2009. She is a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician since 2010.
She has an interest in utilizing the market of the internet to educate and reach a broader audience through online courses and social media. Frustrated with the time constraints of the 1:1 medical model, she developed, launched, and taught group online courses to enhance distribution of health and wellness educational information and facilitate group connection, so lacking in our modern healthcare system. She consults with physicians looking to enter into online information entrepreneurship to expand their educational reach, develop an additional stream of income, or use the internet and social media to drive business to their practice. Having been through a period of physician burnout due to the all-too-common confluence of systemic burdens (EMR, understaffing, insurance and regulatory constraints, etc.) she has pursued an understanding of the alternative/non-clinical career landscape that is available to physicians looking for an additional outlet, or full career shift. She coaches physicians around options to use their medical degree outside of clinical practice, from teaching, to utilization review, to law, to media, to tech.
