Dr. Suleiman Furmli was born and raised in the GTA. He attended Cedarbrae Collegiate Institute for high school and then went on to pursue four years of University at the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus where he did a Specialist Co-Op program in Cell and Molecular Biology. Although struggling with a poor GPA in his first two years, Dr. Furmli worked hard with the help of mentors, self-development and study techniques to attain 4.0s and successfully gain interviews and admission to medical school at the University of Toronto where he also completed his residency in family medicine. He has therefore helped coach many students towards mastering of high GPA, the MCAT, and medical school applications and interviews.
Suleiman thrives on mentorship and coaching and helping others reach their full potential. He has helped co-create the online Casper simulation test with MD Consultants which is available at (https://mdconsultants.ca/casper-preparation/) and also has published a free e-book “The Ultimate Medical School Roadmap” on medical school acceptance which you can download here (https://www.student2pro.com/ultimate-roadmap).
In addition to coaching, Dr. Furmli’s clinical interests are in the areas of mental health, psychotherapy, weight loss/fitness, and entrepreneurship. He is a co-founder of www.dexa.me – a state of the art imaging company for measuring body composition as well as online telemedicine based weight loss and fitness coaching. He currently practices medicine out of his clinic located in Scarborough (www.townclinic.ca) and virtually through telemedicine as well.
