Boyang Zhang is an Assistant Professor at McMaster University. He received his PhD degree in Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry from the University of Toronto and obtained his B.Eng.in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, U.S.A. In 2014, he co-founded a startup company, TARA Biosystems, that specializes in providing predictive cardiac tissue models that enable more reliable development of new medicines. Dr. Zhang’s research interests are in microfluidics, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.
